Description: Calling all hands! Your help is requested this Saturday, October 5th, to participate in the Valley View River Access cleanup as an Oakdale Cares project. The Valley View Park is located at the northern end of the Burchell Hill development and provides our community with access to the Stanislaus River by way of a yet undeveloped trail down-slope to a small beach. Have you been there? Efforts are now in process to initiate the development of that River Access Trail and you can get in on the action early on by participating in cleaning up the park and pathways to the river. That spot can become a wonderful asset to Oakdale! Please visit the site below or for sign up information: http://oakd ver-clean-up-at-valley-vie w-access-trail-area/ Obje ctive: Carefully weed around native plant species, collect trash, and build community connections with each other. What to bring: Gloves are essential. Hand tools, shovels, and rakes would be useful if you have them. Trash bags will be provided. Rewards: Pride in Oakdale! Accomplishment in community service. A free BBQ afterwards. Who should come? Everyone capable of 20 minutes or more of labor. Under 18 may participate with parent-signed waiver. With many hands on duty vast amounts of work can be accomplished!!!
