Take Me To Post Comment Form With all the bad publicity that the City Council and Chief of Police have created for themselves, the citizens of Oakdale need to do something to fix this town!! This year the Mayor position and city council positions are open for election...GET OUT AND VOTE..if you know of someone that can run for council or is qualified to run for Mayor..get to them and tell them to stand up for their city. The Mayor and council members need to remember who got them into that position..THE PEOPLE, THE VOTERS..and they need to know who has the power to take them out of it. They are on a power trip right now and have totally forgotten how to run our town properly, but they have manipulated the system enough to their advantage and to ruin our town. The Police layoffs are going to cause this city to be in serious jeopardy..look at the article about all the crime that happened on the 4th of July weekend. This is so dangerous...what if the city had a critical incident or what if The Mayor or Ms. Hansen would have had one of their rediculous emergencies and Chief West called our officers to them..we would have had less response for sure!! WE HAVE THE POWER...MORE POWER THAN THE CITY COUNCIL..LETS MAKE THEM REMEMBER IT!! SEEK OUT NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS AND GET OUT AND VOTE THIS YEAR!!
