Okay, Valley sufferers. If allergies have you tired of tissue and your head throbbing from sinus pressure..... fret no more. After months and months of treating my children (and myself) with allergy medicine, as if it were a multivitamin- we're done.
I recently overheard a co-worker mention he was going to try giving his kids honey. Evidently a friend had shared with him that taking locally harvested honey helps combat allergies.
With nothing to loose, I headed straight for a local produce stand in search of this sweet remedy. I am happy to report, just two weeks after starting my children on a teaspoon in the a.m. and one at night, their noses are free of nasal drip. That's right no meds for two weeks now. And same goes for me- I take a tablespoon at each dosage.
Unsure of such a simple solution.... Google it. I did. And learned taking pure honey comes with a number of benefits. Ultimately I figured what did I have to loose. It's inexpensive (compared to allergy meds) and could be used in my kitchen if all else failed..... but it didn't.
It sure is nice to breath again.
