The New North America.
Have we as America reached the point where we must get into an agreement with Mexico and Canada to share our resources. Even if you don't believe we should have an agreement with our two North American neighbors it's going to happen anyway.
The Council of Foreign Relations in 2005 had finished a report suggesting the United States unite with Canada and Mexico and become one bloc. What does this mean? according to the report which is titled Building a North American Community. We three separate nations will combine our resources including Law Enforcement, some Military,Education,Social Security and erase the borders by using a National Identity cards which would allow the free flow of people to cross our borders at will as long as they were National Id card holders. This also includes driving vehicles from Mexico through the US into Canada.
Like the European model the CFR's plan is already being introduced into our three governments, there are plans in the works already which a super highway will be built from within Mexico that will cross the US, bisecting the US through Texas and into Canada to their ports of Entry. You may even see this superhighway as part of Obama's jobs bill coming up in the near future.
Though this super highway has some propblems for Americans such as it will be an International Highway patrolled by foreign troops.
Our Social Security will be shared with Canadian and Mexican citizens. We already have agreements in place to share social security monies with foreign countres, and we wonder why our Social Security is going bankrupt.
Here are some snippets of information from those agreements.
• Lay the groundwork for the freer flow of people withinNorth
America. The three governments should commit themselves to
the long-term goal of dramatically diminishing the need for the
current intensity of the governments’ physical control of cross-border
traffic, travel, and trade within North America. A long-term goal
for a North American border action plan should be joint screening
of travelers from third countries at their first point of entry into North
America and the elimination of most controls over the temporary
movement of these travelers within North America.
Law Enforcement and Military Cooperation
Security cooperation among the three countries should also extend to
cooperation on counterterrorism and law enforcement, which would
include the establishment of a trinational threat intelligence center, the
development of trinational ballistics and explosives registration, and
joint training for law enforcement officials.
As founding members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization
(NATO), Canada and the United States are close military allies. When
Canadian troops hunt terrorists and support democracy in Afghanistan,
or when Canadian ships lead patrols in the Persian Gulf, they engage
in the ‘‘forward defense’’ of North America by attacking the bases of
support for international terrorism around the world.Although Mexico
is not aNATOmember and does not share the same history ofmilitary
cooperation, it has recently begun to consider closer collaboration on
disaster relief and information-sharing about external threats.
• Implement the Social Security Totalization Agreement
negotiated between the United States andMexico. This agreement
would recognize payroll contributions to each other’s systems,
thus preventing double taxation.
WHAT WE SHOULD DO BY 2010
• Create a ‘‘North American preference.’’ Canada, the United
States, and Mexico should agree on streamlined immigration and
labor mobility rules that enable citizens of all three countries to
work elsewhere in North America with far fewer restrictions than
immigrants from other countries. This new system should be both
broader and simpler than the current systemofNAFTAvisas. Special
immigration status should be given to teachers, faculty, and students
in the region.
Is this what the U.S. Citizens want?
As far as I am concerned I say close down the borders along Canada and Mexico.
I don't think we need to be giving US Tax money (Social Security)away to citizens of other nations.
This new government will be governed by Congressmen from each nation as in three or more from each and they will be the government body which will make decisions on how these three governments policies will be fused into one and carried out.
So what happened to the sovereignty of the United States ?
